open_and_close_aireal2.jpg What is the Wind rating for Retractable Awnings*?

A good rule of thumb to use a Retractable Awnings is:
As long as you are comfortable sitting on your Deck reading a Newspaper, the Awning will be fine. If it is too windy for you and you leave your deck simply retract the Awning to storage position.

Are Awnings waterproof*?

Depending on the fabric that you choose, no rain will penetrate through the fabric. This way you can be protected from light rain or snow showers, but be sure to allow the awning to dry before you decide to retract it. If heavy down pours emerge, bring the awning in immediately. Under no circumstance do we recommend leaving your awning extended during heavy snow or rainfall. In this case, water or snow will start to accumulate on the fabric and the weight may cause structural damage to your awning or home.

How much does an Awning cost?
