Are your hurricane shutters Florida approved?

Most of them are tested and approved in Accordance with Florida Building Code (FBC) and by Texas Department of insurance (TDI) In addition some models carry the most stringent approval by Miami Dade County.

Hurricane Glass Shield, formerly at Clark Rd, Sarasota, was started in year 1993. We at Shade and Shield acquired the Hurricane Protection Division.

Our shutters are designed to incur minimal service work. Like any product that has moving components sometimes they are in need of repair. If you have any issues, call us to schedule a service appointment.

Are these shutters custom made?

Can storm shutter be motor remote control operated?

Roll Shutters can be outfitted with an electric motor. These motors can be hardwired or remote controlled. Remote controlled motors can also be integrated into most smart home systems.
